The lamps are supplied with a 'slim' diecast aluminium mounting bracket, which like the lamps themselves has an automotive-grade pre-treatment before being powder coated satin black, for a product protected against aesthetic deterioration or corrosion. Reducing the light output, through removal of a 'Boost Cap' fixed to the reverse of the light, allows the light to operate in DOT compliant mode for use on public highways, dependent on state-specific laws.
