All of this is extra weight, which increases stopping distance and stress on the braking system. Powerbrake kits compensate by adding clamping force and dissipating heat better than factory brakes.

The M-Line from Powerbrake reuses the factory rotors of your 4-Runner / GX460, making it a cost-effective alternative to their X-Line (full big brake kit) that still offers great performance. It includes everything for a bolt-on install over your factory-sized rotors: 6-piston calipers, brackets, brake lines, pads, and mounting hardware. PB05 pad compound was chosen for its mix of longevity, stopping power, and fade resistance. The included brake lines are Teflon inner-lined and reinforced with braided stainless steel, acting as the muscle of the hose. Brake lines are shrouded in a polymeric outer layer to keep dirt out.

Your typical brake kit starts life on-road, before being adapted to 4WD applications. Powerbrake takes the opposite approach: starting with trails in mind, then optimizing for tarmac. Durability and a low profile are paramount. All Powerbrake calipers & brackets are machined from billet aluminum. They are stronger than their cast counterparts, and with thoughtful engineering, offer exceptional wheel-to-caliper clearance for the size. Attention was also put into eliminating failure points on the caliper. Piston seals are recessed into the bores, and internal fluid crossover tubes are used over external ones; both reduce the chance of damage from foreign objects – not uncommon when driving through water, mud, or gravel. The pistons and caliper hardware are made from stainless steel, resulting in less heat transfer from pad to seal.
