The E360 Group 24 Battery Heating Kit will work with the E360 60, 80, and 95 Ah lithium batteries. The purpose of the heating kit is to warm the battery to prevent the BMS from disconnecting at 32°F to allow it to charge. At approximately 32°F, the battery management system (BMS) inside the E360 lithium batteries will disconnect the battery terminals from the internal pack creating an open circuit to prevent an incoming charge to protect the inner cells from damage. The battery can power the included thermostat-controlled heating element because the BMS will allow the battery to power a load down to approximately -4°F before disconnecting. The included thermal jacket will trap the heat from the element and force it inward toward the battery. The kit also consists of a master switch that can be installed in a convenient location to turn the system on or off as needed. The kit includes all the connection hardware and wiring except the required wiring between the battery bank and the master switch.
