2019 Toyota Tacoma TRP Pro

Previously installed with a Leitner Designs Active Cargo System and a roof top tent, we augmented this Tacoma's overlanding power with the installation of a 2" Old Man Emu Suspension Lift, AEV Crestone wheels, and BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires. Old Man Emu will get you where you need to go! Replacing the stock suspension with a 2" OME lift will increase the places that this rig can reach through improved suspension performance and added ground clearance. The Old Man Emu 2" Suspension Lift comes in three options: Stock (OMETAC16LKSB), Medium Load (OMETAC16MKSB), and Heavy Load (OMETAC16HKSB). For this build, we equipped the Medium Load option.

Choosing the right wheels and tires for your offroading/overlanding vehicle is pivotal to keep your truck unstuck, moving, and, out of accidents, and this rig choose a great duo to accomplish just that: AEV Crestone wheels and BFGoodrich KM3's. AEV's Crestone wheels are an aluminium cast wheel with an attractive split 6-spoke design to give your vehicle a clean, modern look. Specifically, they are crafted from heat-treated A356 T6 cast aluminum to ensure maximum strength and have been undergone stringent testing to meet SAE J2530 standards. Due to their light weight, flexibility, and durability, AEV DualSport wheels will never let you down on or off road.

AEV’s Crestone wheel measures 17×8 w/ 4.69″ backspacing and will work without having to remove the axle dust cap commonly found on many Toyota trucks and SUV’s. This wheel is available in a painted Onyx finish. Beadlock/Protection rings are available in either a painted Silver or Onyx finish and can be painted for a truly custom appearance. For this build, the customer choose to go without protection rings.

Paired with this high-caliber wheel is an equally high-caliber tire. BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3's the aggressive older brother of BFGoodrich's capable All-Terrain T/A KO2's. This beast can take on any terrain and any obstacle with its terrain-attack design, traction armor sidewall, linear flex zone, and coreguard max technology.
