We transformed this 2013 Jeep JKU into a something that trails have nightmares of. We began this build with a strong base, in the from of a Dynatrac ProRock 60 Axle Set (front and rear) On the rear axle, we installed ARB solenoids for the rear air locker and welded on TeraFlex HD Skid Plates. The HD Skid plates were welded- instead of bolted on- to provide extra strength and powdered coated black. They'll give durable protection to the rear Falcon Series shock absorbers while rock crawling and traversing difficult terrain.
Next we upgraded the suspension system with a dream list of parts: TeraFlex Falcon Series 3.3 Fast Adjust Piggyback Reservoir Shock Absorbers, a 4-link Clayton Off Road Long Arm Upgrade Kit, TeraFlex JK SpeedBumps, Synergy 6" Springs, and Currie Enterprises JK Antirock sway bars (front and rear). Attuned to the unique requirements of the Jeep Wrangler, TeraFlex built the Falcon Series Shocks to give improved ride quality, comfort for daily driving as well as race-inspired performance, handling, and stability when offroad. These shocks feature a three-position fast adjust knob to change the dampening settings from soft to firm. For further fine tuning, the middle position offers an eight-position mirco-adjust knob.
To pair with the shock absorbers and long arms, we also equipped TeraFlex Speedbumps. This addition reduces the strain from harsh suspension compressing impacts and bump stop bottoming on your suspension system. This will both prevent damage to the axle housing and offer greater handling offroad.
Furthermore, the clayton long arm system allows the suspension system to work in its natural state by improving geometry and articulation. The Clayton Offroad long arm kit is a bolt on kit with a lifetime warranty against bending or breaking, so you know that it'll last on the trail. For sway bars, to control body roll and guarantee balanced suspension performance- especially on rugged offroad conditions, we outfitted Currie Enterprises front and rear sway bar kits.
To improve steering with larger wheels and tires, we equipped a Steer Smarts YETI Extreme front Trackbar, Steer Smarts YETI XD Top Mount Steering Linkage Kit, and a PSC Big Bore XD Cylinder Assist Kit. Lastly, to upgrade the drivetrain and exhaust system, we installed two 1350 Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts and a Magnaflow Off Road Pro Series Exhaust System.
To grip the trail, we mounted and balanced four 20x12 Black Rhino Armory with 40x15.5R20 Toyo Open Country M/T tires. Future plans for this vehicle include the installation of AMP Research Power Steop Electronic Running Boards.
