The Clayton Off Road Jeep JL/JT Front Axle Disconnect (FAD) Skid Plate for your 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL or 2020+ Gladiator was designed to offer the maximum protection and strength possible.
Our 1/4 inch FAD skid plate was engineered to help protect both the front and rear of your mount. It is an easy bolt on installation using 6 mounting points.
New counter sunk bolts are included for the lowers to help with clearance, and factory hardware is reused in the top 4 mounting locations. It was also made taller in the back to offer maximum protection for your plastic and aluminum disconnector motor.
The rear plastic motor connects and disconnects your front axle allowing 4-wheel drive.
Therefore protecting this controller is very important in order to ensure your Jeeps 4 wheel drive system works properly. Adding a 1/4 skid plate to the front helps with off road strength and overall strength attaching to 6 mounting locations.
Important Note: This skid plate Requires the removal of your stock steering stabilizer bracket. We offer a high clearance, over the tie rod steering stabilizer conversion. Part COR-5209011
