Ram Prospector HBE Adventure Build
The AEV Conversions Ram 3500 Prospector is a truck that makes an impression all by itself. When our team takes the reigns, the overland overhaul is in full effect. Our team started the flatbed conversion by getting the truck in the shop and on the lift. After getting the truck in the air and giving the vehicle a good once over, the time came to start un-bolting the bed and rear bumper.
The flatbed was finalized with a bolt check, then the accessories can begin to be installed. An ARB Twin Air Compressor was bolted into the driver-front storage compartment to make airing up simple while off-road. Having a compartment dedicated to the air compressor and accessories is very useful not only for the process of re-filing your tires, but it's also nice for cleaning air filters while traveling on dirt roads.
The final step to the Ram 3500 Prospector adventure build was to get Overland Explorer Vehicles Hudson Bay Edition Camper attached to their Aluma Tray and connect electrical systems. The HBE Camper has two 100 amp hour Lithium Batteries to power all of the electrical inside the camper. A 200-watt solar panel on the top of the HBE keeps the electrical topped off. But, in case the camper doesn't see sufficient sunlight, the REDARC Manager 30 w/ Red Vision Display power distribution system that manages all electrical input will begin to use the vehicle's alternator to recharge the batteries the next time the vehicle is running. After testing all of the vehicle and camper's various systems, the Prospector was ready for its first adventure.
