Souped-up FJC got some additions and upgrades to stay ahead of the trail. First, we installed a Currie Enterprises RockJock 60 rear axle geared with 4.88's and an ICON OMEGA series rear shocks. To match the rear, we re-geared the front axle with 4.88's using a Yukon Master Overhaul Kit. Next, we replaced the stock rear driveshaft with a Tom Wood's Custom driveshaft to get the power to where it needs to go- those new gears and axle ends to spin those aggressive Maxxis Trepador tires.

Lastly, under the hood, we mounted an ARB On-Board High Performance 12 Volt Air Compressor with a Slee Offroad compressor mount. An ARB air compressor is the gold standard of compressors and gives your rig a go-to, reliable pneumatic source for tire care and air locker power.

On-Board Air:

Shock Absorbers:

  • ICON Vehicle Dynamics OMEGA Series Rear Bypass Adjustable Shock Absorbers

Drive Shaft, Differential, & Axle:

  • ARB Toyota 8" IFS Tacoma/FJC Locking Differential (30 Spline 3.91 and up)
  • Yukon Master Overhaul Kit for New Toyota Clamshell Design (front reverse rotational differential)
  • Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shift (rear)
  • Currie Enterprises RockJock 60 - FJ Cruiser Rear Axle
