We are honored to have been chosen to contribute our expertise and Alu-Cab proven overland products into the Lexus Canada's GX Overland Concept.
The GX Overland Concept is based on the new 2020 Lexus GX460 and showcases what is possible in North America of this globally beloved chassis.
We decided to equip this vehicle with a proven combination starting with a Front Runner Slimline II Roof Rack as the foundation. By using this rack as the base, we were able to install a wide array of Alu-Cab products.
To handle sleeping accommodations, an Alu-Cab Expedition III Roof Top Tent was installed. This lightweight aluminum tent features integrated USB and 12V power points for today's electronics like cell phones, digital cameras, and tablets. The tent also integrates a rail system on the roof for additional cargo. We utilized this feature by adding Alu-Cab crossbars to the tent and installed a pair of Maxtrax Recovery Boards using GP-Factors Mounting Latch Kit.
To further improve campsite comforts, an Alu-Cab 270° Shadow Awning was installed to shield against the sun and protect during inclement weather. Awning walls can also be added to the Alu-Cab 270° Shadow Awning for further protection against weather and added privacy. Lastly, we fitted the Alu-Cab Shower Cube which can be used for showers or simply as a privacy cube.
With the additional of the Front Runner and Alu-Cab products, along with the other components installed, we are hard pressed to think of a better way to explore the great Canadian outdoors than in the GX Overland Concept.
