Jim Oostdyk, founder and president of OK4WD, launched the company in 1979, transforming a small gas station in rural NJ into one of the most respected names in the off-road and overland industry. A lifelong outdoorsman, Jim has traveled the world to find innovative products to bring back to the US market. Known for testing products himself before offering them to customers, Jim blends his hands-on expertise with a commitment to education, often teaching at events, conferences, and even on the trails. He's deeply rooted in the outdoors, spending time on his family property hunting, hiking, fly fishing, cutting new trails, and off-roading with his family- values that continue to inspire his work at the OK4WD mission.
