Alu-Cab has designed a roof conversion called Icarus that makes the iconic Land Rover Defender 110 5 Door even more versatile. Overlanding is the defined as "self-reliant overland travel to remote destinations where the journey is the principal goal". And what says journey more than swapping out the newest modern vehicle for something with some heritage and seeing the wonders this world provides. Our Pros make short work replacing the Land Rover's original roof with Alu-Cab's Icarus multi purpose roof conversion. The Icarus opens with the flip of two latches. Inside is an oversized mattress (93inx50in) that is on struts which allow you to raise the bed up freeing up headroom making plenty of room if you plan to build out the interior. The roof can be closed with all your bedding inside, which means you never have to deal with stuffing away a sleeping bag or use storage space for your linens or pillows.
