This Hammock comes bundled with the “Go Anywhere” nylon rope kit. The Go Anywhere Rope Kit is the easiest way to hang your Trek Light Hammock wherever you go. Whether you're planning on setting up your Trek Light Hammock in your backyard, at the park, or on your next adventure, don't forget your rope! Trek Light's specially designed static nylon cord is lightweight and already cut, knotted and ready for you to setup your hammock right out of the bag.
Many other hammocks on the market have rope that is attached to the hammock itself so you're limited to searching for trees that are an exact distance apart. With Trek Light's unique design, you're given the freedom to setup your hammock with trees up to 18ft apart!.
Includes 2 static nylon cords which are pre-knotted and assembled for you so you can setup your hammock within seconds. No knot tying required! Each cord is 5 1/2 feet long and designed to hold the maximum hammock weight of 400lbs. The cords come bundled in a tiny pouch just like our hammocks, so you can take them anywhere with you without taking up unnecessary space or weight in your pack.
This hammock is KHAKI with GREEN edges
Setting up a Trek Light Hammock is simple and easy! Hanging your hammock between two trees couldn't be simpler with a Trek Light Hammock and the Go Anywhere Rope Kit. Trek Light Hammocks literally setup in just seconds and are 100% adjustable so you can quickly and easily increase or decrease the curve of the hammock or accommodate trees that are varying distances.
You have a few options for how you can set up your hammock based on your needs.
Scenario 1: If you plan on hooking your hammock into a hammock frame, eyebolt, or other solid hook and the connection points are not spaced more than 10 feet apart, you should have no problem using the included S-Hooks to just hook right in without any additional accessories needed.
Scenario 2 (most common): If the connection points are farther than 10 feet apart or, more importantly, you're planning on hanging your hammock from a tree, pole or another object where there's nothing to hook into - you'll need to use the Go Anywhere Rope kit.
For maximum comfort laying down, the trees/posts should be at least 10 feet apart. If you have a shorter distance but still want to hang the hammock, you can consider hanging each end up higher and you can then sit in the hammock like chair/swing (similar to an Sky-Chair design). It can be quite comfortable this way and allows you to still lean back and stretch out in the hammock. Last we checked, the Sky Chairs don't convert into hammocks when you want them to, so you've really got it all.
The beauty of the Trek Light design is that there is no maximum distance between objects. Our hanging kit will currently let you hang the hammock between points up to 18ft. apart and we're working on additional accessories that will extend that distance even further.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY?
Yes. All of our hammocks and Eco Totes carry a full two-year warranty against manufacturer's defects. Properly taken care of, your Trek Light Gear products will last you many years of enjoyment. If you feel that your hammock has suffered from a manufacturing defect, contact us and we will be more than happy to repair your hammock or set you up with a brand new one.
IS THE HAMMOCK WATERPROOF?
Our hammocks are water-resistant, not waterproof. What that means is you'll be able to shake off most light amounts of water such as mist or morning dew, but large amounts of water or rain will soak through the material. The parachute material is extremely quick drying though so most wet hammocks will be dry again in just minutes after the rain stops.
There are two main reasons not to make a hammock waterproof, the first is to keep our hammocks as breathable as possible so it's not hot and sweaty during the summer. The second and more important reason is that if your hammock were waterproof any water that did get in the hammock would just pool up inside and have nowhere to go.
HOW TO CLEAN THE HAMMOCK?
If the hammock gets dirty, we recommend that you clean it by hand. Just some warm water should rinse the dirt right off your hammock. If it's a tougher stain, we recommend using camp soap since it contains the safest ingredients. Just hang your hammock outside and it will be dry in a few minutes. The hammock will survive the washing machine if need be, but you should remove the s-hooks or carabiners first so they don't get caught. Hand washing is generally the safest and easiest way to care for your hammock.
