This truck was lifted 8″ thanks to Pure Performance and their coil-over long arm desert race system. The wheels are XD-796 series wrapped in 39.5 Super Swamper Iroks. To make the system work involved removing all factory rear suspension mounts.
Since this is a trail rig, it was outfitted with front and rear air lockers and the gear ratio was swapped out to 4.88. To ensure it handles like factory (or as close as possible), a dual steering stabilizer system from BDS. Rockcrusher differential covers were install as well as Asfir 4×4 skid plates to cover the vitals.
A Viair heavy duty onboard air system was installed to control the air lockers. For aesthetics and to protect gear, a Weatherguard toolbox was installed to house the air system. To maximize ground clearance, a MBRP stack was fitted.
In the end, the customer got a trail rig that not only looks great, but can tackle some of the toughest trails. In between the trails, they can drive it around due to a quality suspension kit.
Keep alert as phase two is coming soon. Phase Two involves Fab Four front and rear bumpers, winch, and possibly a chip to help with performance.
